Honor of a Soldier

Posted on May 28, 2018

In a previous post I wrote about my experience photographing people for the Science Museum’s Mind Matters exhibit. (You can find that post here.) Today I am writing about one of the people involved and my experience with him.

Elliott arrived early and was ready to go. Suffering from PTSD, Elliot is VERY motivated to speak on behalf of his fellow Soldiers. After the event opening, he sent me this email:

Wendy,

Great to see you last night! Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me. I am very curious to know what you thought about the content and presentation of the actual exhibit.

Were you able to view my story? If so how do you think it came across? Again just interested in your opinion. I personally am very happy with the final product of the Exhibit it is tasteful respectful of the subject matter and still interactive and informative.

. . . Thanks again for access to the photos. Please feel free to contact me any time just to say hi if you like. Again it was great talking with you!

All my best

Elliott

It was an honor and a privilege to get to know Elliott and help him to share his story with others.
